      • Alexandra says:

Hi, Heather! I absolutely love your books and can’t wait until the third volume of Never Cry Werewolf appears. My friend and I live in Romania and have no idea when your third volume will appear here. We hope it will soon! πŸ˜€

      • Thanks, Alexandra! I hope that LEDA will publish book three in Romania…

  2. AmberGrace says:

“Never Cry Werewolf” is a fantastic book. I hope that there will be a sequel to it. Shelby and Austin are really great together, I really hope for a sequel in the future.

  3. Sabinna says:

    Hi Heather,

I read and loved Never Cry Werewolf and I would love a sequel. I did a review here . It is written in my language and I know that google translation doesn’t make a perfect translation, but I think the main idea it’s easy to understand. I want to ask you if the publishing right for The Clearing and Wherever You Go have been sold to Leda in Romania. I want to read your other books too, but I am from Romania and here, things are moving very slow when they publish a book.

    • Sabinna says:

I forgot to tell you that the title of your book has been changed in Nu plange sub clar de luna and in English sounds a little bit different: Don’t cry in the moonlight.

  4. Nancy says:

HI! I was just wondering, are you from Washington state?

  5. Hannah says:

Never Cry Werewolf is an AWESOMELY SWEET BOOK! Does Shelbey ever talk to her dad about things? Does the scrap ever heal? Does Austin ever meet Shelbey’s parents? How about Shelbey and the Bridges? But most inportantly, DO THEY EVER SERVIVE THE 9TH RING OF HELL (A.K.A ALSO KNOW AS RED CANYON BOOT CAMP)?????????????????????????????????????????

    • Hannah, you’re so funny! Yes, Shelby and Austin do survive Red Canyon — that actually is a picnic compared to what they’re up against next! Stay tuned for sequel news. I’m working on something for that now…

  6. Miky~Crys says:

    Hi, Heather!

Do you remember me? πŸ˜€ Maybe not πŸ˜› Whatever, I just want to know WHAT’S YOUR LITTLE CAT NAME? :X:X:X And I want to know if the rest of your books will be published in Romania, my country.

P.S.: I LOVE NEVER CRY WEREWOLF :X I’m a big fan. Never Cry Werewolf was my first book SF & Fantasy for YA, and now I buy just SF & Fantasy books. Thank you for that :* You’re a amazing person!!! :*

    • Hi Miky,

Thanks for the note! My cat is named Harper Lee, after the American author. I don’t know if the rest of the books are coming to Romania, but I hope so!
I’m glad you’ve become a SF and fantasy fan!!

  7. Erin says:

Hello! I just looked up your website after finishing Never Cry Werewolf last night within a couple of hours! I seriously could not put it down! πŸ™‚ I saw you were making a sequel and was wondering if you had a date or a newsletter people could sign up for so they knew when the next book came out.
I know I will definetley check your website often regardless. πŸ™‚

    • Hey Erin – Thanks for the comment! I will likely be posting info on my fan page on Facebook. (Link is on this site’s homepage) If you follow me there you’ll get the deets eventually! Thanks for reading (and writing)!

  8. Becky says:

I was reading through your previous comments and I am so excited that you are working on a sequel for Never Cry Werewolf. I cannot wait. I absolutely loved the book. Thanks!

  9. Kaitlyn Cornish says:

You’re really going to write a seaqual to Never Cry Werewolf?
It’s one of my favorite books now, I just love love loved it ❀
I hope you plan to write a whole series? My friends and I enjoyed the trip to Camp Crescent, we hope to find our own werewolf! Please keep writing! Thank you!

  10. Lyndy Mothershead says:

    Hi there!

I literally JUST got done reading your book, THE CLEARING and It’s the best book iv’e ever read! (and I don’t read much) I couldn’t put it down! I read it at school, on the bus, at home…I LOVE it! It would be so cool if you could turn this into a movie (it would be sooo much better than twilight…(no offense if you like twilight))

Coming from a teen, I can really relate to this, just all the emotions are so strong and the situation with Matt (hate him!) is so real and relatable to lots of teens.

I just can’t tell you how much i love this book…I think i’m gonna go read it again:)

    • Aww, thanks! What a sweet note, Lyndy. There’s a few spoilers in your second message, so I can’t post it, but loved that you’re getting your boyfriend to read the book. Maybe he’s your Henry?!

  11. Miky~Crys says:

    I’m back πŸ˜›

Hey, can you give me an ID address where I can speak with you some thing? πŸ˜€ I really want to speak with my first YA book author :X And maybe you can teach me about secrets of the firs book… Because I have a lot of ideas, but I don’t know how I can use my ideas and inspiration in a correct way πŸ™‚

    P.S.: I hope I write without mistakes πŸ˜›

    • Hi Miky,

I’m not able to do that, sorry. If you don’t have a writers group in your city or a teacher you can talk to — you should check out — which is a great spot for teens who are writing fiction. You can join the online community there, get information, and post your work to share with other teen writers. Good luck!

      • Miky~Crys says:

It’s okay πŸ™‚ I’ll try to understand those things πŸ™‚ Anyway, thank you for link :*

  12. Trish says:

    Hi Heather,

I just finished Never Cry Werewolf and I really enjoyed it. I love your writing style and look forward to reading more of your books. As a YA writer myself (well, wannabe YA writer at the moment), I plan to keep Never Cry Werewolf as an example of teen voice done well. You did such a good job of telling the story in Shelby’s voice.

When I bought Never Cry Werewolf a few days ago, I came to your website and read your bio. Having grown up in a small logging town in Washington State, I was SO very curious about which town you lived and taught in. I had to laugh when I read the acknowledgments at the end because Concrete is where I went to school and Barb Hawkings was one of my substitute teachers. So, I had to say “hi” because it’s so rare to find anyone who even knows where Concrete is!

  13. tiffany tinney says:

Hey Heather! Well, I did give in a buy a nook and I read “Somewhere by Moonlight” in one night. Great sequel! I was just curious if you are planning a series? Cuz the ending kind of leaves you pondering… Also, I don’t know how often you check your facebook, but I sent out a friends request. Thanks for writing great books!

    • Hi Tiffany – Yay! I’m so glad you got to read the sequel and liked it! Yes, I hope to write another novella installment sometime later this year.
On Facebook, I’m moving all my reader friends over to the Fan Page (I link to that on the homepage of this site) so if you pop over there and Like it you can keep in touch!
Have a great summer and thanks again!!

  14. Matt Molock says:

    Mrs. Davis,

I have just finished reading The Clearing a few days ago, and I am doing a Honor’s English project and work on the book. I really enjoyed the book and loved how God and true love and family were major themes in it! Thank you and will you please tell me when your birthday is, because I’ve had trouble finding it… I looked on Facebook and I saw where it said your birthday was November 17, but no year was specified. Also please tell when where you was born. Please respond as soon as possible, thank you and God Bless You Ma’am.

    Thank you,
    Matt Molock

  15. Hunter says:

I absolutely love reading, and I really enjoyed both your books, Never Cry Werewolf, along with Sometimes By moonlight. Like some of your other readers I thought the ending of Sometimes By Moonlight really left me wondering and I would love it if you would make a series!!

  16. Ruth Koob says:

I LOVE The Clearing! But I am so confused by the ending!! If the mist at the end just started (according to Joe), does that mean that Amy is now in a time warp of her own? Or was her whole experience with Henry just a dream? Why does she wake up so bewildered? Please explain the ending!

And please don’t say the reader has to figure all that out alone!

  17. Maddie says:

I enjoyed both ‘Never Cry Werewolf’ and ‘Sometimes by Moonlight’, you’re amazingly talented! I think it is amazing how you reply to your fans, and I can’t wait to read your other books:)

  18. Sarah Ewers says:

  19. Erin says:

‘Sometimes by Moonlight’ needs to become a book! I want to read it badly but I can’t since it’s an e-book. :/ I finished ‘Never Cry Werewolf’ in a night and am dying to hear more!

  20. Naomi says:

    • Hi Reva,

Thanks for the note! I’m hoping to get time this winter to write it! Right now, I have another book coming out (WHEREVER YOU GO) and I’m working on a top secret project.. but hopefully more werewolves soon! ~ Heather

  23. Lyndsay Yonkoske says:

So, I just finished Whevere you go, yet another book of yours has sucked me in and I couldn’t put it down until I was finished. My lovely librarian introduced me to your books and it was the best thing she could of done. She recently met you at a conference and you signed your book The Clearing to me. It was an amazing gift! I actually did a few book reviews on The Clearing! You’re an amazing writer. Come out with another book already! πŸ™‚

    • Oh, Lindsay — hi! Yes, I loved meeting your teacher!! I’m so glad she gave you The Clearing and got you reading. I always found reading such a good escape from my daily life (and crazy family) and now, writing books gives me the same respite. Thanks so much for writing me and letting me know you liked WHEREVER YOU GO. Hugs, Heather

  24. Cierra says:

I’ve read the Clearing and your new book Wherever You Go. They are both my favorite books, and they changed my life πŸ™‚ The Clearing helped me realize what love truley means, and Wherever You Go helped me make a decision I’ve been struggling with for awhile. I love ur books!!!! The clearing i read about 10 times πŸ™‚

    • Cierra — you are so sweet! I’m glad that you liked both the books. I think in every story I’m trying to say that you should be true to yourself, so always remember that. hugs!

  25. Alexandra says:

Hello from Romainia πŸ™‚ . I am a huge fan of your books .i have a question : do you want to make the continue of never cry werewolf ? The second book was the best like the first. Alexandra

  26. Hi Melissa — yes, I do intend to write a third. Just trying to find the time! Hopefully, once this top-secret project I’m working on is turned in, I can start prepping for a book 3.

  27. Sabrie Dalton says:

    Thanks for such great books!

  32. Emma says:

Okay WOW i loved Never Cry Werewolf, and i really want to read Sometimes by Moonlight but i cant find it anywhere thats not a Kindle ebook version. Personally i dont have a Kindle and prefer a good old paper and ink books. Is there a printed version of the Novella?. If not i might borrow my cousins Kindle.
You have made the top of the list in my favourite Authors because i just loved Never Cry Werewolf. I love Austin and Shelby and i could easily picture the story in my head. I cant wait to read more and i hope for there to be a sequel.
You have really inspired me to write again after a harsh run in with a teacher that hated me and after telling me my storys were awful i had stopped writing. But ive started again and I am writing at the moment for my little cousins who love my grown-up kiddy storys, there nothing special but they enjoy them and their happy faces mean the world to me and you helped me see that!
From an Amazed and Happy Fan.

    • Hi Emma!

I’m glad you are inspired to write after reading my books. Never give up on telling the stories that you come up with. If you believe in yourself and keep getting better, you will be a great writer!

    • Thank you for the note, Nicolette. I’m so glad you liked WHEREVER. It was a difficult book to write, because it was very personal, so I’m happy that you connected with it. Thanks!

  39. layla says:

hi heather i would like to say i love your books so much i read them again ten times or even more i would like to say thank you for writing your books your my hero:)

  40. Celina says:

Im deep into your book Wherever You Go, but i found a couple contradictions. One being how the Ghost of rob has no sense of smell, but there are two different occasions where he describes a smell he is experiencing. Just throwing it out there. Love this book though.

    • Hi Celina:

Thanks for the note. There are always a few things you wish you could go back and change once a book is finalized. Smell is so tied to memory, it really would have been nice if he could smell — but he can’t really touch, either, without a great deal of energy. Ghosts are tough to write!

      Glad you liked it, anyway.

  41. angie says:

hi heather i love your books. will you be putting books 2 and 3 of the werewolf books in paperback and hardcove?

    • Hi Angie –

Thanks for the note. No, I never planned on paper versions of the sequels, but if that changes in the future, I’ll let you know. Glad you liked the books!

  42. Hi, I love the first book, but I can’t get Book 2 on my Kobo reader. Book 3 is on Kobo, so I can get that one. Is there any way you can get Book 2 on the Kobo website?

  43. Andreea says:

Hi Heather,I’m from Romania too and I love your books.I’m impressed by your writeing.Hope thet the third book will apper soon.

  44. Hannah Horton says:

I would like to say that I loved your book where ever you go. I could not put it down and now you have become one of my favorite writers. Thank you and I cant wait to read your next books!

  45. Cristina says:

    Hi, Heather!
I’m from Romania and I’m dying to read the third book in the Never Cry Werewolf series! Never Cry Werewolf was the first book I’ve read , at eleven, if I remember correctly. Maybe that’s why I’m so excited! πŸ˜€ Do you know if the third book will be translated in my language? Because I already have the first two books in my library and I want to have NCV complete πŸ™‚

  46. Myya says:

The ending of “Wherever you go” made me cry. It’s was really sad. But, I can’t wait to read “The Clearing” next. I’m so excited for another tale of falling in love, finding strength, and having the courage to make your own destiny. You’re the best writer I’ve known!

  47. Julie says:

Hi Haether, this comment was a little later than the others, but I was wondering if you will be making a 4th book in the never cry werewolf series, and if so when will it come out. I absolutely LOVE the series and I almost cried when I finished.

  48. lizethmtza says:

Hi Heather, I’m hoping you are reading this. I just finished reading your book , “The Clearing”, and I just wanted to say it was amazing! To be honest with you this is the first book I’ve read in years, and my first to finish in one day. It is also the first one I have ever loved. I found myself not wanting to stop reading which is strange for me because I have never have done that before. I’m a fan! I had some questions about the they not see each other at all? Your truly changed my thoughts about reading, I cant wait for what’s to come from you! Truly talented author!

    • Oh, thanks for the note! Sorry it took forever for me to reply.

I’m so glad you loved The Clearing. It makes me happy to hear that you couldn’t stop reading it. πŸ™‚

I get asked about the ending a lot, and what I say is that you are supposed to imagine with me what happens at the end. I believe they do find each other again, but I’m a romantic at heart.

Thank you again for reading my books!

  49. Annika says:

Last year around summer, I came upon your book, The Clearing, at our public library. Ever since then, I couldn’t put it down. I ended up buying my own copy and am currently reading it for the sixth time. Every time I read it, I feel as if it’s my first time reading the story and I fall in love with it all over again. The setting, the selfless sacrifices made by the characters, and, of course, the relationship between Amy and Henry really made this book so touching and amazing.
You’ve had many readers ask you this question, but I was (and currently am) curious about what happened at the end of the book. I’ve had some logical conclusions about what happened to them, but only you can really say for sure what happened to Amy and Henry.
I look forward to a response. Thank you for reading this and take care!

    • Hi Annika:
Sorry it took so long to reply! I’m so glad you loved The Clearing. It’s probably my favorite book I’ve written so far. I’m happy that you noticed the sacrifices in the book that are so central to the story. We do everything for the ones we love, sometimes at the expense of our own happiness.

Yes, the ending. A lot of people ask me the same question. I wanted you to imagine along with me what would happen in the mist at the end of the book. Did they find each other again? That’s for you to decide. I believe they did, though…
      Thanks again for writing.

  50. Keyra says:

I just started reading your book never cry werewolf and i just wanted to tell i can’t put it down i like how you detailed out everything so well so i cant have a picture in my head of everything going on. Also wanted to know when or if you will be writing more cause three books with your detailing you could write a book series just think about. Your really talented and i would like to see more of your work. Sincerely, reading high school student Keyra

    • Hi Keyra:
Wow – thank you so much for your sweet note. I’m so glad you liked Never Cry Werewolf. I always seem to see the scenes in my head like a movie when I am writing, so I’m impressed that you were able to see them with me as you read. So cool!

There are a couple of sequel novellas you can read on e-reader, but for now, that’s all I have planned for Shelby and Austin… for now. πŸ™‚

      Thanks and keep reading!

  51. Kate says:

I would love to buy Wherever You Go on Kindle. Is it possible for that to happen?

    Thank you!

  52. Alexis VanDenHeuvel says:

    Heather Davis,

Your book “The Clearing” has been my all time favorite book since my Freshman year of high school and I am now 2 years graduated from high school. I am a 20 year old female. My name is Alexis Lea VanDenHeuvel.
I just wanted to tell you how much I loved “The Clearing” and was also wondering if you’ve given any thought into possibly making the book into a picture movie or something of that sort. I am not a film maker or anything and I’m not selling anything or nothing like that. I’m just wandering because it’s such a good book and for the past couple of years I’ve been wondering if someone has thought about turning your book “The Clearing” into a motion picture movie. I’ve read the book more times than I can count, and I know people always say that books are always better than the movies because books have more detail and movies tend to change things or leave out detail. But I know that if “The Clearing” were a book AND a movie the movie would be just as wonderful as the book. πŸ˜€

But please let me know what your thoughts are. I would love to hear what your opinion is on this kind of topic.

    • Hi Alexis,
I’m so glad you liked The Clearing. The thing that I love most about reading is seeing the movie of the book in your mind, so I know what you are talking about! There’s no plan to make a real film of the novel, but I agree with you — it’s really written as if it were one. I actually studied film in college and the way I write is often very sparse and cinematic, in my opinion, anyway!

Thanks for reading the book and taking the time to write me.

  53. 18jweigel says:

Hi my name is Justine and I read your book Wherever you go. I’m using it as a book project and I’m writing a letter to you about the book for my project. I just wanted to ask you a few questions about the book… first off what inspired you to read this book?! It’s awesome and at first I was confused by the different point of views from Holly to Rob to Jason but then I ended up really liking how you wrote the book, it kept me interested. If you could get back to me that would be awesome! Thank you!

    • Hi Justine! Thanks for writing me. I hope your book project went ok… I’m glad you liked the multiple POVs and that it kept you interested. My grandmother had Alzheimer’s and my family’s experience with her was part of the reason I wrote the book. Thanks for reading it! —

  54. bgposta says:

Okay so I need to talk to you. I read wherever you go and and and it killed me I’ve been crying for 30 minutes. I can’t believe that there is a book like this! My life has changed and thank you thank you thank you. You are basically an amazing heroine. While reading the last 20 pages I wanted to shout at you and also hug you because you broke me and also wrote this amazing incredible fascinating book. I want to know more about them. Please write another one mrs davis. Thank you again…

    • Thank you so much for the note! I’m so glad that Wherever You Go touched you. If it helps you to know, I cried through much of the writing of that book — especially the end — so we share that experience. I always wanted to believe that my own grandmother, who suffered Alzheimer’s, was still present with us, hearing us and sending us love though her body could not do so.

Anyway — thank you again for reading the book and taking the time to write me.

      ~ Heather

  55. mkittysamom says:

Hi I have a friend that’s Looking for Alias Raven, and I can’t find it anywhere? Did that project get put on a shelf maybe? I’m trying to be sensitive and nice.. but I’ve tried everything short of asking you! Sorry.. I didn’t know what else to do, and she is a big fan of yours!!

    • Hey there! So the publisher of ALIAS RAVEN went out of business and they’ve removed all their titles from retail. So sorry! I’m bummed that you’re not able to find this anymore. I may re-publish this myself at some point in the future — I’ll let you guys know when that happens. Thanks for writing me!

      • mkittysamom says:

Thank you for answering, my friend is bummed but at least we know and can look forward to the future! I myself think to get an answer is in itself a great thing because we at least solved the mystery of why we could not find it! Hugz back! Thanks for being a dedicated author and look forward to reading more of your art in the future!

  56. Valentina Bashir says:

    Ms. Davis:
I just have completed your published novel, The Clearing, in one sitting and it was amazing. The book was donated by a fellow youtuber named Haley’s Bookworld to my high school, and I had the chance to pick it out and read it. I’m a huge hopeless romantic, and reading your story just made me an even bigger one! I love that you didn’t just cover the love aspect of books, but other important messages like demotic violence, depression and anxiety, and faith. I am very sad that the book has ended, and hope that there will be a sequel. I’m sorry to bother you, I know that many other readers have bugged you about another book, but I’m here to congratulate you on how successful and dear your book has become to me. It even made me shed a few tears, and I’m not even exaggerating!

It’s refreshing to read non-cliche novels, and am inspired from you because I’m a struggling writer trying to succeed like you did. I just want to thank you so so much for a tremendous pleasure I had in reading your book, The Clearing. I would definitely recommend this novel to many other people from now on.

    Valentina Bashir

    • Hi Valentina:

Thank you for the sweet note! I’m so glad you liked The Clearing. It’s one of my favorites, too. I cried a lot writing some of the scenes, so it means a lot to me that the story has touched readers like you. Thanks for reading my books and happy spring!
