The book “Never Cry Werewolf”, is one of my favorite books. Consider I don’t like reading this book kept my interest and i finished it in two days. I really appreciate your writing. I look forward to reading more of your books.
thanks a lot and god bless

  2. AmberGrace says:

“Never Cry Werewolf” is a fantastic book. I hope that there will be a sequel to it. Shelby and Austin are really great together, I really hope for a sequel in the future.

    Hi Heather,

I read and loved Never Cry Werewolf and I would love a sequel. I did a review here http://translate.google.ro/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=ro&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=ro&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fsabinna.wordpress.com%2F2010%2F12%2F01%2Fnu-plange-sub-clar-de-luna-de-heather-davis%2F&act=url . It is written in my language and I know that google translation doesn’t make a perfect translation, but I think the main idea it’s easy to understand. I want to ask you if the publishing right for The Clearing and Wherever You Go have been sold to Leda in Romania. I want to read your other books too, but I am from Romania and here, things are moving very slow when they publish a book.

    • Sabinna says:

I forgot to tell you that the title of your book has been changed in Nu plange sub clar de luna and in English sounds a little bit different: Don’t cry in the moonlight.

  4. Nancy says:

HI! I was just wondering, are you from Washington state?

  5. Hannah says:

Never Cry Werewolf is an AWESOMELY SWEET BOOK! Does Shelbey ever talk to her dad about things? Does the scrap ever heal? Does Austin ever meet Shelbey’s parents? How about Shelbey and the Bridges? But most inportantly, DO THEY EVER SERVIVE THE 9TH RING OF HELL (A.K.A ALSO KNOW AS RED CANYON BOOT CAMP)?????????????????????????????????????????

    • Hannah, you’re so funny! Yes, Shelby and Austin do survive Red Canyon — that actually is a picnic compared to what they’re up against next! Stay tuned for sequel news. I’m working on something for that now…

  6. Miky~Crys says:

    Hi, Heather!

Do you remember me? :D Maybe not :P Whatever, I just want to know WHAT’S YOUR LITTLE CAT NAME? :X:X:X And I want to know if the rest of your books will be published in Romania, my country.

P.S.: I LOVE NEVER CRY WEREWOLF :X I’m a big fan. Never Cry Werewolf was my first book SF & Fantasy for YA, and now I buy just SF & Fantasy books. Thank you for that :* You’re a amazing person!!! :*

    • Hi Miky,

Thanks for the note! My cat is named Harper Lee, after the American author. I don’t know if the rest of the books are coming to Romania, but I hope so!
I’m glad you’ve become a SF and fantasy fan!!

  7. Erin says:

Hello! I just looked up your website after finishing Never Cry Werewolf last night within a couple of hours! I seriously could not put it down! :) I saw you were making a sequel and was wondering if you had a date or a newsletter people could sign up for so they knew when the next book came out.
I know I will definetley check your website often regardless. :)

    • Hey Erin – Thanks for the comment! I will likely be posting info on my fan page on Facebook. (Link is on this site’s homepage) If you follow me there you’ll get the deets eventually! Thanks for reading (and writing)!

  8. Becky says:

I was reading through your previous comments and I am so excited that you are working on a sequel for Never Cry Werewolf. I cannot wait. I absolutely loved the book. Thanks!

  9. Kaitlyn Cornish says:

You’re really going to write a seaqual to Never Cry Werewolf?
    YES!
It’s one of my favorite books now, I just love love loved it <3
I hope you plan to write a whole series? My friends and I enjoyed the trip to Camp Crescent, we hope to find our own werewolf! Please keep writing! Thank you!

  10. Lyndy Mothershead says:

    Hi there!

I literally JUST got done reading your book, THE CLEARING and It’s the best book iv’e ever read! (and I don’t read much) I couldn’t put it down! I read it at school, on the bus, at home…I LOVE it! It would be so cool if you could turn this into a movie (it would be sooo much better than twilight…(no offense if you like twilight))

Coming from a teen, I can really relate to this, just all the emotions are so strong and the situation with Matt (hate him!) is so real and relatable to lots of teens.

I just can’t tell you how much i love this book…I think i’m gonna go read it again:)

    • Aww, thanks! What a sweet note, Lyndy. There’s a few spoilers in your second message, so I can’t post it, but loved that you’re getting your boyfriend to read the book. Maybe he’s your Henry?!

  11. Miky~Crys says:

    I’m back :P

Hey, can you give me an ID address where I can speak with you some thing? :D I really want to speak with my first YA book author :X And maybe you can teach me about secrets of the firs book… Because I have a lot of ideas, but I don’t know how I can use my ideas and inspiration in a correct way :)

    P.S.: I hope I write without mistakes :P

    • Hi Miky,

I’m not able to do that, sorry. If you don’t have a writers group in your city or a teacher you can talk to — you should check out http://www.inkpop.com — which is a great spot for teens who are writing fiction. You can join the online community there, get information, and post your work to share with other teen writers. Good luck!

      • Miky~Crys says:

It’s okay :) I’ll try to understand those things :) Anyway, thank you for link :*

  12. Trish says:

    Hi Heather,

I just finished Never Cry Werewolf and I really enjoyed it. I love your writing style and look forward to reading more of your books. As a YA writer myself (well, wannabe YA writer at the moment), I plan to keep Never Cry Werewolf as an example of teen voice done well. You did such a good job of telling the story in Shelby’s voice.

When I bought Never Cry Werewolf a few days ago, I came to your website and read your bio. Having grown up in a small logging town in Washington State, I was SO very curious about which town you lived and taught in. I had to laugh when I read the acknowledgments at the end because Concrete is where I went to school and Barb Hawkings was one of my substitute teachers. So, I had to say “hi” because it’s so rare to find anyone who even knows where Concrete is!

  13. tiffany tinney says:

Hey Heather! Well, I did give in a buy a nook and I read “Somewhere by Moonlight” in one night. Great sequel! I was just curious if you are planning a series? Cuz the ending kind of leaves you pondering… Also, I don’t know how often you check your facebook, but I sent out a friends request. Thanks for writing great books!

    • Hi Tiffany – Yay! I’m so glad you got to read the sequel and liked it! Yes, I hope to write another novella installment sometime later this year.
On Facebook, I’m moving all my reader friends over to the Fan Page (I link to that on the homepage of this site) so if you pop over there and Like it you can keep in touch!
Have a great summer and thanks again!!

  14. Matt Molock says:

    Mrs. Davis,

I have just finished reading The Clearing a few days ago, and I am doing a Honor’s English project and work on the book. I really enjoyed the book and loved how God and true love and family were major themes in it! Thank you and will you please tell me when your birthday is, because I’ve had trouble finding it… I looked on Facebook and I saw where it said your birthday was November 17, but no year was specified. Also please tell when where you was born. Please respond as soon as possible, thank you and God Bless You Ma’am.

    Thank you,
    Matt Molock

  15. Hunter says:

I absolutely love reading, and I really enjoyed both your books, Never Cry Werewolf, along with Sometimes By moonlight. Like some of your other readers I thought the ending of Sometimes By Moonlight really left me wondering and I would love it if you would make a series!!

  16. Ruth Koob says:

I LOVE The Clearing! But I am so confused by the ending!! If the mist at the end just started (according to Joe), does that mean that Amy is now in a time warp of her own? Or was her whole experience with Henry just a dream? Why does she wake up so bewildered? Please explain the ending!

And please don’t say the reader has to figure all that out alone!

  17. Maddie says:

I enjoyed both ‘Never Cry Werewolf’ and ‘Sometimes by Moonlight’, you’re amazingly talented! I think it is amazing how you reply to your fans, and I can’t wait to read your other books:)

  18. Sarah Ewers says:

HELLO HEATHER DAVIS YOUR BOOKS ARE GREAT MY FAVORITE IS NEVER CRY WEREWOLF AND I CAN’T WAIT TO READ BY THE MOONLIGHT AND I HOPE YOU MAKE ANOTHER ONE AFTER THAT! YOU ARE MY FAVORITE AUTHOR THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THESE BOOKS!

  19. Erin says:

‘Sometimes by Moonlight’ needs to become a book! I want to read it badly but I can’t since it’s an e-book. :/ I finished ‘Never Cry Werewolf’ in a night and am dying to hear more!

  20. Naomi says:

    • Hi Reva,

  23. Lyndsay Yonkoske says:

So, I just finished Whevere you go, yet another book of yours has sucked me in and I couldn’t put it down until I was finished. My lovely librarian introduced me to your books and it was the best thing she could of done. She recently met you at a conference and you signed your book The Clearing to me. It was an amazing gift! I actually did a few book reviews on The Clearing! You’re an amazing writer. Come out with another book already! :)

    • Oh, Lindsay — hi! Yes, I loved meeting your teacher!! I’m so glad she gave you The Clearing and got you reading. I always found reading such a good escape from my daily life (and crazy family) and now, writing books gives me the same respite. Thanks so much for writing me and letting me know you liked WHEREVER YOU GO. Hugs, Heather

  24. Cierra says:

    • Cierra — you are so sweet! I’m glad that you liked both the books. I think in every story I’m trying to say that you should be true to yourself, so always remember that. hugs!

  25. Alexandra says:
