Seventeen-year-old Holly Mullen has felt lost and lonely ever since her boyfriend, Rob, died in a tragic accident. The fact that she has to spend most of her free time caring for her little sister and Alzheimer’s-stricken grandfather doesn’t help. But Holly has no idea that as she goes about her days, Rob’s ghost is watching over her. He isn’t happy when he sees his best friend, Jason, reach out to help Holly with her grandfather—but as a ghost, he can do nothing to stop it. Is his best friend really falling for his girlfriend?

As Holly wonders whether to open her heart to Jason, the past comes back to haunt her. Her grandfather claims to be communicating with the ghost of Rob. Could the messages he has for Holly be real? And if so, how can the loved ones Rob left behind help his tortured soul make it to the other side?

Told from the perspectives of Holly, Jason, and Rob, Wherever You Go is is a poignant story about making peace with the past, opening your heart to love, and finding the courage to move forward into the light.

ISBN-10: 0547263678
ISBN-13: 978-0547263670

“Alternating between Amy and Henry’s intersecting stories, Davis’s (Never Cry Werewolf) second novel has a quiet power; the time travel element gives the story the feel of an old-fashioned romance, with a tinge of melodrama. The tale takes some unexpected turns, providing insights into healing and the weight of destiny along the way.” (Publishers Weekly)

NEVER CRY WEREWOLF (Book One)

“This werewolf debut makes for a quick read and an easy sell for reluctant readers.” (ALA Booklist)

“Davis weaves together a fast-paced action adventure story with issues of peer pressure, divorce, betrayal, friendship, acceptance, and, of course, romance. This novel has great teen appeal [and] will leave readers wanting more.” (School Library Journal)

SOMETIMES BY MOONLIGHT (Book Two of Never Cry Werewolf)

An e-book novella ~ arriving in June 2011

“The scar on my arm had almost healed over, but on the nights I stood in front of my dorm window drinking in moonlight, it almost burned. It was an indelible reminder of our night in the forest, the night that Austin almost died saving me…”

Moonlight is Dangerous…

It’s bad enough that the guy Shelby fell in love with at brat camp last summer had a dark secret, but helping him protect it has come at a huge cost. It’s goodbye, Beverly Hills mansion; hello, creepy Swiss boarding school.

What could be worse than doing time at Steinfelder Academy for Girls? Not hearing a word from her summer boyfriend, Austin Bridges III. Shelby’s not even sure that the sacrifice she made for him meant anything, especially after she spies him in the tabloids with a European pop princess. But Austin’s more than your average son-of-a-rockstar werewolf hottie, and his connection to Shelby is stronger than she realizes.

As the days grow darker and the school prepares for Holiday break, Austin arrives to explain the real reasons he’s stayed away. Suddenly, Shelby begins to understand her improved senses, her need for moonlight, and her growing hunger. Now trapped at Steinfelder, with its ties to an ancient, bloody brotherhood, Shelby realizes that loving Austin will cost her more than she could have imagined.

A dangerous full moon approaches for Shelby and Austin in this e-book novella sequel to the popular Young Adult romance Never Cry Werewolf.

    • Oh, Lizzy! At this point, I don’t think there will be a sequel to The Clearing, but you never know. I’ll have to think about it!

      • Paulina Sanchez says:

you should really think about making a sequel for the clearing…its a really good book and i think that if you continued it, it would be even better! :P

      • Thanks, Paulina. I will think about it!

      • Cindy says:

I really hope there is a sequel to the Clearing… It was a great story, and I find that I cannot bring myself to return the book to the library just yet – I need more Henry and Amy. The ending was unexpected… I felt like it was left so that there could be a sequel.

      • Aww… Cindy, that’s so sweet! I love that you want to spend more time with Henry and Amy. Me too!

      • Kimi says:

Please, please give us more Amy and Henry! I am so sad now that I have finished the book.. I didn’t want their story to end. I loved it!

      • Aw, thanks, Kimi! I’m so glad you loved the story. I miss Henry and Amy, too. ;)

      • Cassy says:

I just finished reading The Clearing. In just one day. It was a really good book. I loved it. To be completly honest it made me cry. It is a really powerful story. I think that you should make a sequel. I would love to know what happens next. Please make a sequel. :)

      • Hi Cassy,

Thanks so much for this sweet comment. I’m so glad you loved The Clearing. I’m not planning to write a sequel, but I do have other historical-type stories in mind for the future!

        Heather

    • Katie says:

I luved the clearing, but when i read the ending and i found out that amy didnt end up with henry, and that he like…. dies i felt like i was gonna have a heart attack and i actually cried for 10 minutes (no exaggeration here) :'( </3

      • Ah, Katie — No spoilers allowed! Actually, remember there is the mist in the field again. You get to decide if Henry found a way to return without disturbing anything — and this time, Amy is a different girl (who would never hang out with Matt Parker, by the way!) So, don’t be too sad! :)

      • Katie says:

OMG!! i wasnt thinking and i just gave a spoiler…. im so srry!!!!! After reading ur post, i feel kinda better, but still a little sad……. but thnx! xD

  3. Bee says:

I liked how much fun NEVER CRY WEREWOLF was. As opposed to other paranormals where more often than not things end up being a matter of life and death. Looking forward to your other books!

  4. Lizzie Algarin says:

I love the clearing!!! I think there should be a sequel!
I love love love this book! It nearly brought me to a few tears!

  5. Jose Luiz de Oliveira says:

Hi. I would like this book “never cry Werewolf” benn series. It’s potencial history.

  6. Jose Luiz de Oliveira says:

What do you think? I like very much this history and i think that it can to be continued.

  7. Kaitlyn Cornish says:

I think you should make a whole series to Never Cry Werewolf!
This sounds kind of corny, but I’m now inspired to write my own wolfy adventure :)

  8. laura says:

OMG! I hate most paranormal stories but I LOVE never cry werewolf! I’m waiting for the sequel, which I will defiantly be buying! I haven’t read the clearing yet but I’m going to soon! Usually I can’t read anything but I can’t put your books down! <3

  9. laney says:

so the mist when do you think it will be comming out because the clearing left me wanting more:)

  10. Patricia S. says:

The Clearing was a great book! I hope you’ll keep writing about Amy and Henry. When I read the ending, I knew that it wasn’t a real ending and that they could find each other once again. As the cover of the book says: “True Love is Timeless”, it would make sense for them to find each other again. I can’t wait to read more about them! Great work :D

  11. Alia says:

Ms.Heather please i would be utterly glad if you told me what did you exactly mean at the end of the clearing when Amy saw the mist again but every thing has changed and does she even remember Henry after waking up ? please if you don’t mind do tell

    • Hi Alla — You have to decide for yourself what the mist means. In my heart, I think it is Henry, having found a way to come back to Amy! It is a book about miracles, after all. :) Thanks for reading the book!!

  12. Patty says:

    Hi Heather,

I really really love your novel The Clearing! It’s one of the best novels I’ve read this summer! I am in love with Henry. He feels so real to me. I like how you begin the book with Amy wishing for things to be different and then ending it the same way. I’m surprised that there’s a new Amy now, living a different life. I hope that you write a book about the new Amy with Jackson! I’d love to read it! Thank you for writing this beautiful novel :)

  13. Cyndy says:

    Hey Mis Heather Davis,

I absolutely adored Never Cry Werewolf! I am always looking for new interesting books to read and when I found this one I absolutely loved it. Thanks so much! I also plan on reading your other books! You’re an amazing writer!

  16. Elle says:

    Hi Heather,
I just stayed up till past midnight reading The Clearing, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was sad, yet moving. I love how it ended, realistic and bittersweet. A lot of YA authors these days write too much for the audience – they try too hard to make it such a perfect happy ending to please the readers, but I love how this novel was written for its own sake. I can’t wait for Wherever You Go!

  17. nichole says:

you totally made me soo said at the end of Clearing… and i love the way you wrote this book it was amazing how had the two different times (sorry for those we havent read it yet) together.. i just wish the was a little bit more to the end… it just took me breath away :D
you are a talented women and writer… cant wait to get reading on your other books xox

  18. Zoe Finnie says:

Hi I Loved Never Cried Werewolf but I was wondering if the sequel would only be avilable on kindle or if it was coming out as a book x

    • Hi Zoe,

Ah, sorry! It’s just available as an e-book. If you search “Kindle readers” online, you can find free downloads to use on your home computer if you don’t own a Kindle or Nook. Thanks for writing me — I’m so glad you liked the book!

  19. nichole says:

so i finished reading The Clearing last night and then again today and soo has my mum.. i wouls like to say what an amazing writer you are. i love the way you intertwinned the two different times together and the way you make us feel what the characters are feeling. i loved the character of Amy and i especially loved HERNY, hee was a complete gentleman. i only wish the were still more guys like him. what truely stood out to me was… dont be afriad to love again and that true love, true trust will live forever.
one thing that got me confussed ( but i firgure it out) was how at the end everything had changed for the both of them, but i can not believe the HERNY WAS MISSING IN ACTION,, why didnt you bring him baxk with his brother and joe. I WANT HERNY BACK :D. besides my being crazy, i loves your books and the way you right, you truely right from the heart, and both of the books i have read theres an amazing message at the end that brings me to tears.

    • Hey! Easy on the spoilers, Nichole. :) I’m glad the book affected you so much. I love Henry, too. I think that he and Amy found a way to be together, somehow. It’s a book about miracles, after all. Have a great summer!

  20. Paige says:

Is there going to be a sequel to “The Clearing”?

    • Hi Marie, readers keep asking this question because they just don’t want to let go of Henry and Amy. So, that’s a nice thing! But, so far, I’m not planning to write one… you guys are starting to make me think that maybe I should. :)

  30. Kendal says:

I just finished ‘Never cry Werewolf’ that I was lucky enough to get at the RWA national conference. I rushed right over here to see if there was a sequal (since there feels like there might be one) and was thrilled to see ‘Sometimes by Moonlight’. Perhaps you should add some buy buttons to amazon so reader will only be one click away from more Shelby and Austin!

    • Hi Paige (also a Davis!) –

I’m sorry but the novella is just an e-book. If there’s a way to borrow a reader from a friend, or get permission to download a free kindle reader program for your PC or Mac, then you might be able to read it. Thanks for writing, Paige! ~ Heather

    Hello Heather:*

  79. Rhiley says:

I really love and enjoy Never Cry Werewolf, I just recently read the first book and haven’t yet read Sometimes by Moonlight (I can’t wait though). You’ve actually inspired me to write a book of my own, though it is quite difficult…I can’t decide what I should do, I keep fighting with myself on the story line. I’ve started to write the story too many times for me to count but I just never can settle on one, I just end up starting over everytime. Could you give me some advice?…I could really use the help. By the way never stop writing, you are a magnificent writer, if it wasn’t for you I never would have thought of becoming a writer, you gave me a purpose in life so thank you. My late little sister loved to read but she died from cancer four years ago I thought maybe I should become a doctor to to give myself a new purpose in life, to help people but I never was good at health so I ended up dropping out of college about one year ago and I’ve been looking for something I could do with my life…I was never really into reading but I wanted to do it for my sister…now I know she would be proud of her big sister…I know I’ve already said it but thank you for inspiring me to do something with my life I know my little sister would be so proud of…I can almost see her smile.

    • Hi Rhiley,

What a great note. You should know that you can be inspired by the people around you for your career, but in the end it has to be something you are passionate about. Try writing and see if you like it! Writing is something you can do your whole life, whether it’s your job or not.

      Much love,

      Heather

  80. emryn says:

    • Hi Shelby —

It was always in my mind to call Shelby – Shelby. I can’t explain why, it just sounded right. That’s kind of what happens with all the character names in my books.

      Thanks for writing me!
      Heather

  85. Lacey Moore says:

Hey heather! I haven’t read any of your books yet but I plan to! I love to read! My friends make jokes all the time about me reading to much I mean what 14 year old reads reads over 70 books in the summer (me)!?! I also love to write and use my imagination! When ever we write in school I always get the highest grade in the class! I have tried to write a book that way one day maybe it can be published but I cant ever get it write! I have rewrote the beginning like 20 times and changed what I wont the characters to be like and what relationship they will have. Any advice about writing???

    • Hi Cora — my best advice on writing is to do a lot of reading, so you’re already on your way. Reading helps you understand the structure and flow of stories, so that will be a great help to you!

I read The Clearing in less than 48 hours and it just took over all my time from start to finish!! The end made me feel like I was missing something or someone only because we never knew what happened for sure. If you did write a sequel Miss Davis you would fill a huge void!! :) but thank you for writing this AMAZING book that made me sob like a baby and changed my perspective on how men should treat women ;) I’ve read a lot of YA novels but Henry is by far the best fictional character I’ve read about!!

    • Hi Mj,

Thanks for the note. Yes, the ending leaves a little to your imagination for a reason — but I always hoped that Henry and Amy would find each other again beyond the mist. I’m so glad you enjoyed the story.

    • Hi Layla —

Sorry for the delay in replying. First of all, never stop reading books! Long after you forget about this guy who hates reading, you’ll still be in love with the stories and characters from books. Books are friends for life. Also, guys who like reading = hot. There are guys out there who who love books as much as you do. :) Be yourself!

      Thanks for writing me!

      Heather
